The Institute of Promotional Marketing is the official representative body of the Promotions Industry, providing education, legal advice and policy, as well as representing the UK in the European Promotions and Advertising Forum.
For many years Richard Pink has worked closely with the Institute of Promotional Marketing, having previously been a Board member. He has been a regular judge on the panel for the prestigious Institute of Promotional Marketing Awards and, for the last three years, has been a panel chairman and a member of the Grand Prix selection committee.
In 2008 Richard was appointed Associate Director of Education and is working with the Director to devise and present a number of Seminar Events for the Institute of Promotional Marketing Diploma.
Also in this year, Richard launched a new Institute of Promotional Marketing course aimed at showing companies how to measure the financial effectiveness of their promotional activity.
Richard is currently developing a number of new products for the Institute of Promotional Marketing.

The IPM has set up a Shopper Marketing Group, bringing together experts in the field to work together to promote the discipline. Their first task has been to define what Shopper Marketing actually is - not such an easy challenge, but one which they've risen to. Richard Pink is heading up a working party to decide how the group should function.
